Candidates for Directors of the Tightwad Fire Protection District file a declaration of candidacy and pay a $100 filing fee at the District's headquarters in the December prior to the April election in even-numbered years. Click here for public notices for any upcoming election(s).
If only one candidate files for Director, then no election is held and the candidate that filed will take office in April. However, if no candidate files for Director, then an "open election" is held for voters to write in names of qualified candidates.
Tightwad Fire Protection District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
