Notice of Appointment For Director
On November 20, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Tightwad Fire Protection District accepted the resigantion of John Kinder, which allows the Board of Directors to appoint a qualified voter and resident of the District to fill the remainder of his term, which will expire as a result of the outcome of the April 7, 2026 election.
At the time of appointment, the vacancy Director must sign a Declaration of Candidacy in the presence of the District Secretary as well as a number of other affirmations:
- Affirmation of Constitutional Qualifications
- Affirmation of No Convictions
- Affirmation of Paid Taxes
- Missouri Ethics Commission Notice to Candidate and 2025 Ethics Guide
At the time of appointment, the vacancy Director must also provide the District Secretary with a copy of the Missouri Department of Revenue Form 5120 (the origninal must be notarized and sent to the Missouri Department of Revenue; the copy provided to the District Secrtary must be a copy of the form with the notarized signature, but the copy does not have to be notarized).
Note: A vacancy Director does not have to pay a $100 filing fee to the District's General Fund as required by RSMo 321.210 for candidates for election of a District Director.
